Mount Ellen Golf Club welcome you our official website. Hopefully you will find our website easy to use. In the event you require any further information which is not detailed on the site, please contact the secretary or professional who will be happy to assist.

On July 2008 the members took ownership of their newly constructed clubhouse, which returns the club to its original location in the centre of the golf course.

We were privileged to welcome Paul Lawrie MBE and winner of the British Open Championship 1999 (Carnoustie) to officially open our new clubhouse. Prior to unveiling the commemorative plaque and cutting of the ribbon, Paul gave a golf clinic to those present which was informative, entertaining and provided an insight in to the life of a tour professional. The members were in awe of the vast array of shots at his disposal, all executed effortlessly. Eight times World Champion Piper Willie McCallum was on hand to pipe Paul to the first tee, a first for Paul we believe.    Click HERE for more pictures taken on the day.

The new modern layout provides first class facilities for members and visitors alike. The two storey layout consists of a spacious lounge and dining areas on the first floor. From within the lounge we benefit from panoramic views of the course and uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside.

The fully stocked professional shop, male and female changing areas, lockers and shower rooms are all located on the ground floor.

The parkland course provides a tricky challenge to all levels of golfers with the key being accuracy rather than distance. The small well manicured greens are well protected by many bunkers and course management plays a vital role in your round.

Visitors are welcomed mid week and party bookings should be arranged with our club professional. This can be made by telephone or by using the online booking form which can be submitted from this website. The central location is ideally suited to play a few holes or the full 18. The course is easily accessed from the surrounding road network including the M8, M73, M74 and A80.

New members are welcome with special incentives presently available. An online application can be submitted to the secretary from this website. Again should you require further please contact the Secretary or Professional.
